clutch is going I think..what are my options?

Hey guys, my clutch is acting up REAL bad lately (It'll go in gear fine, but even 5th gear at 1700rpms, if I stomp on it it just revs and goes nowhere). I am looking into a replacement. I don't need anything lightweight and fancy, would just like somethin that will last and not break my wallet. What are my choices? Looks like a Spec stage 1 will cost 300~ bucks.....hopin I can go lower. Thanks.

best clutch kit for your money hands down. Its basically an OEM clutch and will work fine with light mods. Its all i have used in my car and it is really a great clutch, plus you get everything you need for the whole install plus a great price. A lot of people on here use it and love it.

I bought this exact kit. I have no complaints what so ever. Many people autocross their two with this exact clutch without any problems.

buy a lightweight fly while you are at it brian. it is a good mod.

*though i have never owned a 5s powered car on the gen 2 and 3 3sgte, & 4g63t- i happened to think the engine went through the revs just a little easier.... i dont see it hurting power.

meh, it even worth it on bone stock 5S? I don't plan on modding or racing, but I have never driven a car w/ one...Looking at prices they seem to be a couple hundred bucks too..ouch!

cool i was going to say just stick with good ole toyota but people back it up so that is something i will write down and consider for future customers here...good luck on the install and everything.

BTW lightweight clutches work well with lighter flywheels but i have found it not worth the extra money going with just a lighter clutch.
