ok im confused about this whole tie rod mumbo jumbo...
what are the tie rods that connect form the rear crossmember to the hub? aren't those called rear tie rods? and....the ones in front are called front tie rods...right?!?!?!? so what do the mean when they say the inner and outer tie rods????? circled is what i need for a 93+ NA...they are called tie rods right? is there a technical toyota name for these??? |

Yeah, the BGB just calls them tie rods. The are adjustable though. So I'm wondering if Toyota is referring to both parts of each rod when they refer to the inner (section of each tie rod farthest from wheel) and outer (section of each tie rod closest to the wheel) tie rods.

funny thing is, i just called toyota and i faxed them the same exact picture, they didnt even know!!! the only tie rods they had in their system were all in the front...they called them rear suspension arms and couldnt find a part number for it. all i really need is a part number for a 93+ ...

Arm Assembly Rear Suspension No. 2 - Both are part number 48730-17040. Check with Lithia Toyota if you need to buy them.

THANK YOU! OUT OF 2 forums and 2 threads, you are the only person who knew what this is! The dealerships here in NY cant even get a part number for it nor a name!
