i have an import t bar non turbo on a j plate...91/92....how can i find the date of manufacture and the date of first registration?...also do i have to have a cat on the car....it has a de-cat pipe on as when i bought it with full mot but has just failed the mot on emissions...the examiner saying it must have a cat on...any advice gratefully recieved...tnx....alby

Date on manufacture is on the drivers door on the certification label. It will be on the top right of the label and will say Prod Date:

Yes you need a cat to pass smog. What state are you in?

mot? isnt that UK inspections?

you can weld an aftermarket cat to the b-pipe, behind the xmember.. most common place to put it.

hi again...tnx for that ben...i forgot to mention that i/m in the uk....the car is a jap import...have looked for the information on the label on drivers door but its in japanese...any other way i can find out what year it was manufactured?..the vin number maybe?...any information gratefully recieved....tnx...
