Vac. Leak with pictures.
Hi guys,
Well here's another problem to my laundry list. I have a Vaccum leak, and can't seem to find were the pipe or rubber tube leads. here is a picture. forgot to list the important stuff 91 NA Auto 5sfe of course |

Can anyone looking in their engine bay and tell me where that tubes goes to? it's sucking in air. not blowing air.

I can't quite remember... but I think mine was for the charcoal canister? Or posibly blocked off?
I'd just block it off. |

I did block it off, but now the car seems a little sluggish. But that might be b/c i am sitting back farther then before.

If one were so inclined, One could look at One's Vacuum diagram on the engine lid and see that the loose hose connects to the fuel pressure VSV located by #1 intake manifold tube.

Thanks Hot Karl, but i have a turbo rain guard on my NA engine lid therefore the diagram present is totally incorrect.

Well, the fuel pressure VSV is located under the intake manifold. You can see where ONE line that goes from the FPR goes to it. You can feel it behind the manifold.
Where is the one that IS connected to go? |

Disconnected side goes to the fuel pressure system. Connected side goes to the MAP sensor.

Problem fixed for now. thanks for all the help and support!
The tube is a little black skinny guy. looks like one of those WD40 or Brake Cleaner straws. It was hanging out under the TB, and spotted it when i put a mirror down there. |

Yep. That tube goes to a junction connector that connects to the passenger side of the vacuum solenoid dealy back there
Then the other one goes to MAP sensor. I have the same problem on a 92 NA I just did a engine drop on, and I damaged that piece putting it back in so I had to find him another one. |
