airbag light on

Ok here what happen. The airbag light wasnt on before i took the steering wheel off to adjust it, I unplug the yellow connector and took off the airbag unit. Then took is for a drive to adjust steering wheel. Hook it back up and the light still on. I try about 5 time trying to figure out what wrong with it. I even did what the yellow sticker say. align the wheel straight, turn 2.5 to left.... and red pointer match.

You'll want to build and use this tool:

http://www.toyotacelicaonline.com/airbagtool.htm

I just made one a few days ago and was able to reset my Airbag light in a few minutes.

Since there was a power interruption when you took off the steering wheel, the light came on. If you disconnect the battery, the light should go out. If it doesn't then you have a code 41. If you plugged everything back in correctly, then the light is on just because there was a power interruption.

Code 41 Has A Special Way To Clear It:

You Need 2 Separate Wires One For Terminal Tc & One For Terminal AB. You Will Have To Ground Tc For 1 Second Then Switch And Ground AB For 1 Second - 5 Times:

Ground Tc
...............Remove Ground
Ground AB
...............Remove Ground
Ground Tc
...............Remove Ground
Ground AB
...............Remove Ground
Ground Tc
...............Remove Ground
Ground AB
...............Remove Ground
Ground Tc
...............Remove Ground
Ground AB
...............Remove Ground
Ground Tc
...............HOLD Ground Until Air Bag Light Start To Blink FAST. When The Light Blinks Fast You Are Done.

Or you could just use the link posted above mine.
