water pump failure sign
i have a question about water pump on 91 mr2 N/A (it has less than 100k miles, its a swap engine). i just change the radiator hose clamp (the clamp right where the radiator cap is) because i noticed that coolant is dripping from there but the hose is not busted or anything. after i changed that it stops but, now the coolant is leaking at the radiator drain plug tubing, (i dont know what its called, its the small tubing right below the drain plug, where the coolant flows when you drain it). this only leaks when you start the car. but when its shut off it will stop, but not immediately, it stops after few minutes of shutdown. and yes the radiator drain plug is very very very tight already. i know its not good to tighten it that much but i thaught that will stop the leaking coz its leaking really bad. DO YOU GUYS THINK THIS HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE WATER PUMP? IS MY WATER PUMP BAD? thank you everybody.

It doesn't have anything to do with the water pump. Just age - those hoses are 16 years old.
