Power steering

So, my power steering hasnt worked for about a year, and i think its time to fix it. It went out slowly, working sometimes, then other not. Finally it just gave way, and is now very difficult to turn.

Any suggestions or insight into the problem?

The brushes in the motor are probably completely worn given the way it went out gradually. You can have the motor rebuilt. Just be sure to use (or tell the shop to use) EHPS fluid from any manufacturer. EHPS only!
