START UP PROBLEM!!

i have this problem with my 91 mr2 and there are somedays where it doesnt start. I turn the key and i dont hear the car trying to crank or anything. i hear a light click but thats it. and ill turn the key a few more times then it'll start up right away. im not sure if its my starter or distributor. any sugesstions? thanks

Just one loud click? If so, it's the starter contacts.

you can test your starter at kragens to see if it's fully functional. I had the same problem where i turned the key and you hear a cilck sound but no crank. I tested the starter and kragens said it was fine. Turns out, i grounded a wire i shouldn't have, lol. but yeah, just a story.

yeea i think it is my starter because my car didnt want to start yesterday and i was trying to start it many times...but i asked my freind to give the starter a tap with my club when i was trying to start it,....and what do you know it started up hahah

so im going to replace the contacts inside and see if that helps, if not i might just replace the whole thing..thanks though!
