EMS. What exists for NA?

Post trolling yields no EMS that is relatively plug and play for the 5sfe. Is there anybody that is currently running AEM or Hydra Nemesis on an NA?

Laying out almost $2k and then having to do major r&d to make it work has low appeal. Megasquirt is not full featured, major DIY, and I see a lot about trigger issues.

Older GM boxes seem quite capable. Anybody using one?

The 91-92 the ignition systems are very similar to the gen II 3sgte so I bet almost anything that works on a 3sgte will work with a gen I 5sfe. The biggest difficulties will be making a harness adapter because of the different ECU plugs and then setting it to read the slightly different ignition signal (24+4 instead of 24+1+1), setting it to fire a single batch of injectors and then calibrating the rest of the sensors, most of which are probably the same. All the major EMSs should be capable of this but you will want to make sure you buy it from someone who can also configure it for your engine and verify it can support those specific features. SOunds like Weasy2k could take care of that for you. After that it's just a matter of setting up base maps and then tuning it like any other EMS.

The 93+ 5sfe's might be a little more difficult because the ignition is a 4+1 but it also gives you crank angle so you could run sequential injection if you are willing to run some new injector wires. I still bet most of the major EMSs will read the signal if configured correctly. You might have to filter it to some degree. I noticed that it's a very noisy system... like most Toyotas from what I have heard.

Weasy2k, do you have a source for the ECU connectors by chance? They are different for 91-92 and 93s and each of those different from the 3sgte I believe.
