No aftermarket throttlebodies for 5SFE?

Freakin Honda civics have like 5 aftermarket TB's.

When I used to mess with my Saturn SC2, I had an OEM TB ported out like an extra 3MM. It didn't do anything other than make throttle response better, but I still liked it.

Just wondering if there is anything like that for the 5SFE

I am hearing that the 1mz-fe v6 TB bolts onto the 5s-fe....what year is your 5s-fe that makes the diff for sure as the pre 93's did not have a proper TPS so the TB wont work so well....

the reason for the lack of support for the 5s-fe is because not many people like to upgrade them or think of them as a great motor. Heck event he 3s-gte doesnt have many options either...

The civics have lots because of the demand and the sales of them so lots of companies make them

Nope there isn't. Closest you're going to find is this:

Maxbore.com throttle body boring service

Several people have used it and liked what they got back. It really isn't going to do anything for you performance wise but you do have a nice clean throttle body with a new butterfly valve which can resolve idle issues.

If you want to pep up toe 5sfe a little bit you're better off looking at exhaust mods.

Weasy, do you know if the TPS off of the 5sfe tb will bolt on or if the 1mz tps will work with the 5sfe?

that is exactly what I did for my Saturn!

Except I bought a TB at a junkyard for like $10, and had it ported for about $25, including the new butterfly.

What about making the TB longer, with a spacer. Anyone know if that helps anything?

the manifold is the problem.. the tb is just fine.

maxbore.com is a GREAT option for us because soooo many of us have worn out throttle plates that cause the nasty high idle. a new tb from toyota is 600 bucks. a "new" ported one is 100 bucks. even if it doesnt make a fraction of a horsepower, its still something to consider having done on a high miles mr2.
