RPM Question
So is it normal to run at 4000 RPM at 80 MPH? It feels like that is way too high for that speed. Is everybody else running the same on a stock N/A?

yup, it's normal, should be right under 4k at that speed, maybe 3800-3850 or so.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but what can we do to keep that lower?

Only thing you can do is re-gear the tranny, which is a LOT of cash and work to get yer RPM's a little lower. People who have done this usually use the final gear from a GT-4 6th gen celica. Goodluck finding the gear, and paying for it, lol.
I am not sure if the gear works for the NA tranny or not, but the main point is that it's too expensive, and too much of a PITA to do. Car is made to rev that high, it's normal, no worries. |

I've never had mine on the track, I think it's time to do so. I guess high rev is not a big deal, it's just makes me look for 6th everytime...

same here man
these things would be geared perfectly if they added a nice tall 6th gear for highway cruisingwhen they were new, it wasn't so bad due to the 55mph national speed limit |
