TIEN Pillow mounts question...
Some one was saying that the TIEN pillow mounts were a good way to go for replacing the rear strut mounts, but I saw a couple different ones.
TEIN Pillow Ball Upper Mounts - AutoCarParts.com These are the ones I think I should get: TEIN Pillow Ball Upper Mounts, Toyota MR2 All Trims - AutoCarParts.com*** Will these ones work? Thanks. Last edited by goddom; 01-08-2008 at 06:09 AM. |

if you're into wasting money, then yes the teins are the way to go. those are for smaller coilover springs as well.
are yours broken? |

why are pillowballs wasting money? If you need new strut-top mounts, whynot go pillowball?

yes, mine are broken. The rear right makes a clunking noise. I replaced them with used ( I got them for $10 so I thought I would see if they would fix the problem). Before putting in the used the car would sway back and forth, and make clunking noises on both sides. After, the car wouldn't sway as much and now one side clunks.
So I want to get some strut mounts that aren't $160/each that the dealer would charge me. If you know of a better place to buy or better part, let me know. Thanks. |
