1991 MR2 non turbo...

I am looking to buy a 91 non turbo from my cousin. The car has 81K miles, 80K coming from the original owner and the last thousand from my cousin. Just looking at the car you can tell it has been absolutely babied. There is absolutely no rust (even on the under body). When my cousin got it, it was 100% stock, now it has a thousand dollar set of rims and low pros, drilled and slotted rotors, ceramic pads, cold air intake, full exhaust, clear tail and corner lights. The car is flawless.

About how much would you guys say it is worth?

Also, about how much does it cost to bump these cars up to about 180-200 horsepower and what mods need to be performed?

Due to having ****** eBay clear lights, gigantic rimz0rz, crack-o-rama drilled rotors, and "full" exhaust, the car is now worth $2000 and those of us who haven't Fast & Furioused our cars now own more valuable vehicles

If he still has all the stock parts, a low mileage 91NA like that is worth $3-5k, depending on color, options, body style, etc.

If I were on the market for one, I'd be willing to pay $4k for it IF it came with the stock exhaust, intake, wheels and tail lights.

A genie.

You just won't get 180-200hp out of an N/A. No matter what you do to it. As long as it's rocking that **** FE cyl head it's a POS. You maybe could make it to 180 by going 5stfe

An 80k mr2 is worth way more than 4k in many markets. I'd say 5.5k would be the normal minimum for a car like this around Atlanta.

If you want something to modify, you should probably skip this car. You're not going to get 180hp out of a 5s. You could ditch the 5s and go with a 3sge or 3sgte, but you're better off doing that to a car with high miles that needs a motor anyway.

Thank you for your input, but none of the parts on the vehicle have come from ebay. Also, the rims are 17's wrapped with low pros, nothing extreme there, and it is Megan Racing exhaust. Thank you for assuming a bunch of cheap **** parts have been thrown on the car, but you were wrong. And yes, the car does come with all the stock parts. Are you saying that modifying a vehicle in any way makes it worth less? I dont understand...

Well, that all depends really. Speaking from a market standpoint, worthy mods do usually make the car able to be sold for more without getting

From an insurance standpoint. I'm about 98% sure aftermarket mods don't bring the value up.

So your saying that a twin turbo supra built up to 800hp and still able to be used as a daily driver is worth the same as the stock version? I am not saying all money put into a vehicle will get back, in fact, you will probably only see 25% of what you put into it back out. I am just saying that the mods done to this car do no decrease the value and to the right buyer they make make it worth an extra thousand bucks.

shimric has a point. Horrible mods will decrease the value of the car, yes below stock value. $1000 set of rims is nothing special, low pros is nothing special, what brand are they? I don't ever recall ever buying any rims worth $1000 for the 2. Clear tails...ewww!!!! Megan racing exhaust, Iduno about that, but I don't think that's like top of the line stuff though.

An 800hp daily driven supra worth more than stock, only if the buy thinks it is then yeah. But this is no 600hp daily driven MR2 either.

if he de-rices it and has all the original parts, $4.5K is fair. That is pretty low mileage. in terms of a power bump, the best way is to get a 3sgte rear-clip.
