MAP sensor question

Is the MAP sensor on a '93 NA variable voltage or pulse modulated?

I'm pretty sure that it is variable voltage. The MAP sensor uses a flexible silicone chip that produces a 0-5V signal to the PIM.

I thought the 2nd gen didn't have a MAP sensor, just an AFM?
