wont start help
so my car spun a rod bearing so i pulled the motor and replaced all the bearings. i got the motor back in but all it does is crank over. i found out i wasn't getting any spark. so i went and got a new distributor and still no spark. what eles could it be?

hummm! How about the coil.....and double check all sensors and plug adapters to see if they are all hooked up. Wish I was there in person to help out.

does it sound like its getting fire to the pistons? I did a engine swap and the timing gave me a fit. If you have someone there w/ you tell them to turn the car over and you can loosen the bolt on the distributor and turn it either way to see if you hear any firing. I know if you have the timing close on the timing belt side it will work. At first all my car did was turn over, then I moved the belt one tooth at a time. If is sounded more dead one way I would go back to my original starting point and go the other direction.

Well my guess is that your timing is off at the belt. I'm sure you had to remove the crank which, when you put it back together, the timing got off track somehow. Now I'm not exactly sure the procedure to get the cam pulley in the right spot when the #1 piston is top dead center. But I'm sure somewhere there is a write up about it. If not I'm sure someone here knows how to align the crank and cams to get them close.
