I feel like it's one thing to answer someones simple questions like how do a open the engine lid. But for ones like "what's the best suspension setup" or "What's the best exhaust" they're complex questions with no simple answer and most of the debates and info on the topics can be found with a simple search

you can feel free to do the search and post up the results, that'd be fine too.
i dont think you're understanding this at all. when OTHER people search, they get your useless "why dont you search" response. they are searching, and they're getting told to search anyway, instead of getting the answer they were looking for. its not all about the OP, its about everyone else who uses the board. |

I am normally quite happy to post a couple links before telling them to search this and other sites and tell them some keywords....or just laugh at them because they ask for a lambo door hinge kit or post a veilside bodykit on a mkI.
I do find it annoying when you get told "searcH No0b" on other sites and your not told what to search and it is hard to tell if they are just being asshats and saying that anyway. This site is actually very good and I would like to see it stay that way as well. |

I get that part Tom. I've run into the same problem in the past of finding threads with no prevalent info because everyone says to search. But if people searched first there would be less threads without information. It's all just cyclical and I understand what you're saying. I have a lot of times takes the time to type out long answers and include the "you can search for this info too" line at the end. But every now and then I'm tired and just say search (minus the no0b part). My bad...
