5SFTE Clutch?

Time to deal with a clutch. Searched, but the info seems to be... lacking... I need some real world info.

I'm planning to use the stock transmission and flywheel, I'm looking for something that can handle around 250-300 ft/lbs.

Who's running what?

What is working/not working?

Spec clutches have treated me well in other cars, anyone using their stage 3 clutch with a turbo 5S?

Anyone having axle/cv trouble around 250 ft/lbs?

Other related input for me?

if your looking to make 300ftlbs, your best bet is a 3s/5s hybrid clutch setup.

3s pressure plate and disk, with the s54 spline.

ill never use another spec clutch after seeing one fail with ~2000 miles on it.

Anyone still make the 3S/5S clutch kit? Or is this something you have to piece together yourself now?

I'm going to have to break down and call a few companies aren't I...

yup, act, spec, competition clutch all make off the shelf parts for this application, you just have to call them with your plans.

i got a barely used spec stage 3 3sgte clutch with a super clamp pressure plate and spec steel flywheel for around $400. I got spec to respline the disc its was like $60 shipped. But ill tell you they will only do it if the disc is like new.

Recieved my clutch yesterday, but the alignment tool doesn't fit the clutch disk... makes me wonder what else might not fit...

I don't have the transmission out of the car yet, and google hasn't been able to help me so far-

Does anyone know the output shaft spline count for the S54 transmission?
