Exhaust Issue

Hey guys... I recently bought a EMSpowered exhaust for my 2... i unfortunately ran into a problem in the process of installation

It seems i have this stabilizer bar that is keeping me from fitting the exhaust... I purchased the exhaust 4 a "Turbo" since i have a 2nd gen 3SGTE in it, but i have a NA model if that matters

My ? is, can i go w/ out this bar or what can u guys suggest cuz i REALLY want this exhaust in my car but it seems its 2 big??

um i *think* thats the anti-roll bar, not really sure though as i don't have a mk2, but really, if thats what it is, you shouldn't take it out, as it would mess with your handling and make the car understeer

Looks like the rear sway bar but anyways if your trying to replace the stock headers or remove stock down pipe you have to go through that and drop the sub frame atleast i did,or if your trying to put the ems duals just loosen the four bolt but not completely remove it,drop the sub frame by half an inch
enough to loosen the bolts on the bushing for the swaybars so you can move the bar around while trying to install the mid pipe but first try to get your stock exhaust out of the way first.the key is to make sure you lift the rear of the car high enough so you have allot of room to work with, let me know how its goes.

Also, make sure you're putting the hanger tabs on the correct side of the exhaust hangers on the car.

Yea i did but thats not the problem... its the bar that's in the way & keeping the exhaust from going in... i've noticed the turbo models have it but its shaped different & sits higher giving the space for a 3" exhaust 2 fit

Very odd, should be the same. You mentinoed your friend has the same exhaust, and it fits. Any chance you guys can try his b-pipe on yours to see if that is the culprit? If it is we can just swap it out for another.

Yea id looked at several turbo models here in SA & they have it the same but, different than mine... i have yet 2 look @ another NA model 2 c if mine is just different... Yea but he's in Houston(^_^)
