T3 turbo on my 5s-fe
hi guys. i have a t3 turbo
as you know im trying to cleect everything to make my 5s-fe a 5sfte. I want to know if i will have to cut and weld the flange when i guy the 3sgte manifold so i can bolt on the t3 turbo. would it just fit up or no? what about the downpipe? |

You will need an adapter.
I'll help you hone your Google-Fu. Google "ct26 to t3" like this: Your search results! and you should come up with a number of viable options for adapting your T3 turbo to the stock Toyota turbo manifold. Most turbo familes have specific exhaust and downpipe flanges. Manifolds and downpipes designed for the stock toyota turbo (CT26) will not bolt onto a T3 based turbo. Don't know.
It will likely depend on what T3 turbo you have. The T3 is probably the most common turbo out there so there are dozens of varieties. However, there are MR2 specific downpipes for T3/T4's. Maybe contact one of the vendors on this board to see if they make a downpipe that will fit your turbo. |

what about the adapters from a ct to a t3 with a waste gate port?
would everything still fit the right way? |

It should but why don't you cut and weld flanges that way you got the t3 flange with no adapters

Oh LOL I got a buddy to weld all my stuff at his work, turned out nice especially when he made the wastegated adapter to my turbo manifold, Looked like if it came with one

yea i know. i have to look into that. for now i just want to get all the knowledge i can get so i wont run into problems.
and collect everything at the same time. was the msd hard to wire? |
