Steering lock disable?
So I have attained the MR2 (the one Ill be parting out) but it turns out the key for it is lost. Its a 5spd, so I can push it places... but is there a way to disble the steering wheel lock so I can turn it? Need to know quick so I can pick it up.

Don't know about that, but are you going to swap in the 5 spd to yours? If not, I'll buy all the parts off of you.

Lol I brought an MR2 the guy lost the key for. Took about 30 seconds to smash the key barrel out, he couldn't believe how easy it was. You could do that but the ignition housing is screwed there after (and ignition barrel if you used a slide and screw). It was an early mkI though and I'm not sure if they redesigned the barrel later on. A good slide hammer and screw should do it.......yes I have broken into cars...mostly my own
![]() Sometimes you can just try random keys and they can turn, my mkI started with a mitsi sigma key once, was a serious wtf? moment |
