did you bench bleed it? I hope you did.... maybe your line is just clogged... check both ends of the line on how you installed the slave cylinder.... Maybe you'll need to use mityvac to suck that thing out or an air compressor to push out the dirt or whatever in that line.

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?
Seriously...go get a vacuum pump...- Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices It works magic and will make it go so much faster. It's only $20... |

I never bench bled mine, but I did bleed it quite a bit using engine vacuum and topping it off every few seconds (engine vacuum is quick
). Suffice it to say, there was no air left in my system. I opted for a rebuild kit. The pistons in both the master and slave cylinders were done for.My pedal is rightly stiff and engagement is low center where I like it. The V6 PP is stiffer than the stock 5SFE, but not as stiff as my ACT 5SFE plate. |

so i bought a one man bleeder kit and hooked it up. systen had so much air i was laughing the whole time!
its better but not where i want it. i kept bleeding like 25 times. lol its still a lil spongy but I'm tired Lol doesn't stick anymore and doesn't lag too much. but i was thinking because no air is coming out anymore. does Brake fluid go bad? because i had a gallon i opened last year and thats what I'm using. lol could that mess with my pressure because I'm considering buying some new stuff lol/ |

the only way brake fluid goes bad is it absorbs water on the braking system that means when you get the fluid above 100 degrees the water content boils turns to vapor and you get air in your lines this is what causes your brakes to go spongy when your pushing them hard in the clutch system you wont have that problem only prob is water content can start to corrode the pistons in the master and slave cylinder this any rust on these wrecks the seals and is the general cause of fluid leaks in the cylinders if its a year old the its fine if it was still foil sealed if not its prob not that kosher... you can buy a fluid tester pretty cheap it should be fine but if you just put new master and slave cylinders in you make want to look at re doing it at some stage with fresh fluid |

Yeah...if it was opened and sitting then it's bad. If it was never opened it should be fine. I would just go pick up a new bottle. Drain your system (just so the level in the reservoir is at the bottom but not below so you don't get air in your master) and then rebleed it. Just pump the master cylinder a couple times while your bleeder line is open. Run the tube up through the engine bay and loop it through the latch on the engine lid. This will keep too much air from going back in. After that just bleed away till you're happy.

I would check and see if either is leaking. My buddies slave was shot and his master was leaking. You could see brakefluid in his frunk...
