Strange Pop?
Ok I recently did my clutch and flywheel, replaced with oem parts.
I am going on 1300 miles since the replace. But i am noticing a strange popping noise coming from the back of the car when i accelerate and when i stop. No matter how hard i accel or how hard i stop,it always does it. I figured it most likely is the front trans mount ,considering it was the only one in bad shape during the trans work. But i am asking if anyone knows of any other -could be- problems before i replace the mount? |

if its just one then its prob a mount if its continuous then prob not as the engine only moves once when under load i would say remove the engine cover and get a friend to watch and see if the engine is moving to far or just rev it in the drive way the motor should still move decently if a mount is missing or broken |

yes it is one pop,and the engine does move a bit when you apply very little pressure to the engine itself(i used a stick to push on it).
I know the mount is bad,But was wondering if there may be any other problems to check along with it? |

I wonder if you're having the same issue I am.
I recently installed a new clutch and put a new front poly mount in and started hearing a pop/twange. Sounds kind of like a large piece of metal being flexed and then released/popped? I was under the car last night and saw that my new mount was flexing the bulkhead it bolts to. Try tapping the metal near the mount and see if it makes the same noise. I have no ideas how to fix it yet. |

A quick way to get rid of twang noises is to spanner check everything first, a loose bolt is an easy fix. |
