swap help

Hello all i recently purchased a 92 MR2 speedometer stoped on old owner at 146K but he told me car has about 200K. could it be the cable? also i wanted to swap out the 2.2l 5sfe. i wanted to use the same transmission though. does the 3sge use the same transmission, computer, axles etc..? or 3sfe? what are the horsepower differences.

The 3sge uses the same transmission and axles, but totally different electronics.

The 3sfe can use the s54, and can be run off of the stock 5sfe ecu....but is not a performance upgrade.

The speedo cable is most likely the reason the speedo isn't working.
