im not mad at all. im glad you guys have already been through this sh*t so i can have someone to ask questions to. i know my setup isnt the best looking but i dont care right now. i just want it to run. i'll deal with the looks later. so killermiller, back to my question....(im assuming its the dump tube off the downpipe) hell it maybe something else, but either way, did you put it on or use a block off plate? i attached a pic so you can see where im talking about.

^ If I'm looking at it correctly and that's coming off the turbine/exhaust side of the turbo, I think that's where the stock O2 sensor normaly goes.

We are starting to get a lot of good stuff here. there are a few of use that have attempted this now and have contributing threads. mrturrari has already done a write up and is in some of them (links)
here it is for anyone that is intereasted:MR2 Technical Knowledgebase - Adding a Turbo to a 5SFE Its not a "how to", but lots of great info and a parts list to a prooven setup. |

What I would like to see is a noted place in the forum for 5sfte stuff. I put most of my treads in the turbo 3sgte section of the boards, but a lot of good info is strewn about. maybe expand the Turbo-3sgte section to also cover the 5sfte. it is becoming common enough now that people are searching for this stuff and having a hard time finding good info. between misplaced threads and flaming and nay saying. "just swap for a 3s"
It would be nice to have this realized as a viable option. True, its not for all, but there are those of use who like to experiment and expand our horizons. |

Is this what you are talking about running the lines for the turbo/wastegate?
One port on the wastegate needs to go to the nipple on the cold side of the turbo, and the other needs capped off. ![]() |

my turbo is a little different from yours in the pic. i have two other lines coming from the turbo just between the wastegate and the turbo housing.
