Where are shifter bushings located?

I recently received both shift cable and base bushings and I wonder if you guys can make my job more easier and tell me where they are located. It seems trivial but once I got them I wasn't really sure anymore. Here is the links to the bushings...

Brass shift cable bushings - $24.99 : EMSPowered, High Quality, Great Service, Low Prices

Shifter Base Bushings - $25.99 : EMSPowered, High Quality, Great Service, Low Prices

Also does anybody know any good exhaust systems for an n/a. A source of mind says that the stock exhaust the best for an n/a and says if you want a deeper sound it is smarter to just change the midpipe.

OK the brass shift cables go at the end of your transmission cables.
where they plug into your transmission.

unhook the cable and you'll see its a little round rubber push it out and put the brass bushing in

I'm guessing that the shifter base bushing are the little rubber bushings that hold the shifter assembly in place. take em off and install the brass ones.

Yup! I installed that stuff on my MK1. The shifter cable bushings should come with a piece of sandpaper, use that to clean the pins and such. The bushings are a great cheap mod, for my mk1 the shifting felt awesome. Just make sure not to twist the cables.

I was talking about the brass shifter cable bushings, I also had the brass base bushings as well. The brass shifter cable bushings made a giant difference, at least for me in my mk1. The brass base shifter bushings elimenated alot of movement in the shift plate, which plagued my mk1 during spirited driving. I'm going to get some more for my mk2. I suggest getting it, cause the rubber ones get worn out and depressed over time, especially if your two is your daily driver.

Purchase them off of ebay, they're cheaper than speed source.
