Is the belt in good shape?

I say rip out the whole AC system, it just adds pointless weight and hurts power. The hotter the better anyways.

Call the Toyota Recall department and have your Vin Checked.

they have a recall on the A/C system, something to do with the valve and you get the parts and service free with refrigerant. While its there, i would just ask them to look at the problem......i bet its a belt.

(the other recall is for you steering wheel too, so if you havnt had the car serviced, you get a free steering wheel too)
