Unhappy vacuum leak?

I am fairly new to the 5s motor. first of all my motor is idling high (1,200 or so) while it is going up and down, and also feels gutless till I hit high rpm's. I think it could be a vacume leak or something that has become disconnected. If anyone has a picture of a vacuum system, and a good Idea of what it cold be please let me know. thank you in advance for any help.

ever figure it out? I have a curiously high idle, and we have gone through the manual and no luck... like 1700-1750 cold start then it comes down to 1250 or so when at operating temp. We have no vaccuum leaks, the ISCvalve works fine, The timing is right on the money... It doesn't make any sense and i'm getting frustrated.

the gutlessness might be a fuel filter issue.

A bad temp sensor could make the car run rich = crappy performance.

well quick and easy way of finding if you have a vacuum leak is using the ol ciggy test. Light a cig or two and slowly scan the motor with it. If you have a vacuum leak, the smoke will be sucked in.

Also, have your coolant flushed and refilled. You could have air bubbles. Or it could be a sensor issue.
