FS: Spyder wheels $100

I have no digital camera, one of the wheels has an impact mark but holds the beed without an issue. They are off a 2001 (I am from spyderchat.com) and they have probably 30% rubber on them, backs are Nittos, fronts are Potenza RE070s. The backs are probably closer to 60% rubber, but the fronts 30%. Sizes are standard for the 01.

I am willing to ship them at cost of shipping via usps, and I am in Augusta, GA if you want to pick them up.

I do, I pm'd the guy above back, but he hasn't called/etc. There is also someone that wants me to ship them, but frankly, I'd rather not (all I have is an MR-2, and taking those to the post office or wherever to ship them alone would be a royal pain for me).

I just called your home left you a voice mail and left you a PM on here. I would like to come look at the on Saturday if it is ok by you as I have to work tomorrow. If only the one wheel is damaged then consider them sold . I will also need your exact address so I can punch it into Mapquest.

I'm in Greensboro, NC. My buddy won't want to go that far for tires, so I apologize, we can't do pickup on those.

John,

Please contact me as soon as you can about the wheels. I'm like you as I only have an Mr2 and I had to rent a vehicle to come get them. I had driven three hours when I called you and will be out alot of money to not have the wheels. I'm sure that you can understand that I'm feeling a little concerned as I already have a bunch of money and nothing to show for it.

So I rented a 4Runner and drove 3 hours to get these wheels when I called this guy to let him know that I would be a little late. He then gave me a groggy"OH, I was in a car wreck" last night and I will need them spill. He said that he did not call me because it was 2-3:00 AM when it happened. The truth is that he forgot that I was coming and did not call me . When he told me that he was in an accident I was only concerned about his well being. I even expressed this to him and was so sorry for him. So in order to get me off the phone he told me that he would bring them to me. We even exchanged 3 other emails and each time he said that he was waiting on parts and would bring them to me. 1 month passed since our last email and I asked him if he would atleast give me the gas money back for my trip and he then proceeded to say that he was sorry and that he would bring the wheels to me this weekend. He then asked for my address. When I gave him my address he realized that I lived 4 hours away from him. He then explained that he could not drive the wheels to me becasue he would then only make $50.00 on them. He could have cared less if I spent money on a rental or even moeny of fuel. Buyer Beware as John Walters is not a Mr2 owner to be trusted. Here is a copy of the last email that he sent to me once he learned how far I live from him.

Eric,

Here's the deal. If you want the wheels, you're going to have come get them. I realized that I was falling into my own guilt trip, and frankly, the fact that I got in a wreck was neither yours nor my fault. Therefore I cannot see why I would be responsible for whatever costs you incurred. You can say that you spent X amount of dollars on gas and a rental, but frankly, that is not my responsibility. Some things happen in the world that are out of our realm of control, that Saturday was there for both of us. I am selling these wheels for about 1/3rd of their actual market value, and about 1/5th or their retail value, and so no, I am not going to spend 50 bucks on gas to get 100 bucks from you.

V/R

The funny thing about this situation is this. In the last email from Mr.Walters he tells me that the accident was not a fault of his. But , in one of his earlier emails to me he totally admits that he was at fault due to inadequate driving abilities. He also tells me in a PM that he had to pay for all of the repair to his car. But yet in one of the older emails to me he talks about how the insurance company paid for the repair.

Well, in essence, I did 2500 dollars in damage to my car, no paint, only suspension, and it had to roll to where it was going, so I needed 2 of the wheels. Basically on Saturday morning early, I spun into a curb due to wetness, stupidity, and poor preperation. Currently, two of those wheels are in use and will be until probably the middle of next week (at the dealership). At which point, once I figure out how much the insurance company is going to give me for the two wheels (rota circuit 8s) that I demolished I will order a new set, but I am currently vehicle-less until all that gets straightened out.

So, I am going to guess before Thanksgiving, I go on evening shift as of next week, for two weeks, then I go weekends, so I might end up delivering them sometime in the middle of the week,

Apologies for the delay and for the screwup,

John

This kind of person really makes me sick. He reminds me of the Vick borthers in Atlanta. Those guys screwed me once and I have never forgotten it.

John, Just like you mentioned in the PM about the refrigerator and my house burning down. In that case the refrigerator would have been demolished. In your case it is all about you being a worthless piece of trash as you don't care if your poor driving skills caused me 6 hours of driving and money in fuel. You still have the freakin wheels , they did not get damaged in a wreck. What comes around goes around and you will someday get yours.

People like this are so much like the Vick borthers in Atlanta and these types of people really make me second guess why I ever spend time in chat forums.

I have invoice. $2100 + 2 wheels completely demolished, all four tires ruined. Oh, and I have pics of the two wheels (attached). The pics are via camera phone, so they are iffy in quality, but if you look closely, you can see large parts of the rim missing, gone forever in a Georgia median. Note that this is just the outside rim, so for pieces of aluminum to come flying off from a direct hit is pretty remarkable. If you can't tell the severity of the damage I did to my car by those pics, I can also add that I hit the curb hard enough to break a strut, both passenger side bearing assemblies had to be replaced, and I am straight lucky that I didn't destroy the differential or bend the frame in the process. The parts alone was $1400, and they were parts that took awhile to get in due to their rare need.

As said to Eric, remarkably I managed to do this without a scratch of paint damaged. The car definitely didn't sit correctly, but with the wheels I was supposed to sell him several hours later, it did roll. I drove it 8mph (9 mph caused extreme wobble) to the dealership. Unknown to me at the time was that the steering system on the right side was completely disconnected from the wheel.

Eric, have the sight to see that an accident is an accident, who caused it doesn't change it from happening. The fault of the accident has very little to do with it. Was the accident my fault? Absolutely. Was the fact that I got in an accident and therefore was not in a position to do this my fault? That question makes the affirmation that me getting in an accident was a conscious decision on my part, and I assure you all that it was not. If my wife was in an accident, and it was her fault, am I to yell at her for being careless? I believe that example and my case would both be filed under 'we're human'.

And I must also mention, your emotion and anger are really just wasted energy. They do nothing to progress this sort of transaction. In reality, negative feelings of this type just make you even more angry and tired. I would honestly suggest that if you are this mad about this, then you need to take some anger management classes, because eventually you will take it out on someone that doesn't deserve it. I hope you see that this is sincere, but I think you're too beyond reason to hear this message.

John

Hey man, Someone screws you out of money then I think you would be pissed too . I was to have a little over $200.00 in those wheels and tires. Now I have over $100.00 in nothing and you are afraid to stand up to your Word which you gave me several times and deliver those wheels for $100.00.

I'm using this post and your trader feedback to alert future people what kind of person you truly are. Very dishonest !

I'm not sure how fear comes into play here, I believe the word is circumstance. If you are allowed to believe that I am dishonest, then I am allowed to believe that you are very inconsiderate of other people and their situations.

It is now time for me to smile and offer my wish for you to have a good holiday season,

Farewell,

John
