The RS-2 is what I have on my car and I love them. They are just shy of the Azenis 615 in terms of grip but they give good grip in both the wet and the dry. They also seem to last better than the 615 from what I've seen.
How many miles you get out of them will vary a bit depending on how you drive the car. If you're prone to dropping the clutch a lot or rotating the car a lot then they won't last very long at all. If you're sane about how you use them, even on the track, and smooth with your inputs then they will last quite a while. I put about 1500 track miles and 5k road miles on mine and they are good to go for probably another half season if not a whole season. I have a friend that put 3k+ track miles and 17k road miles on a set and only had to replace the rears the next spring. I was more than satisfied with how they perform on the track. They communicate well, they're predictable and very sticky. I had an instructor that races wtw (wheel to wheel) ask me if I had r-comps on the car. One thing I will say is that the grip I got out of them was very sensitive to setup. Alignment and tire pressures will make a tremendous amount of difference in how your car handles. Even a matter of a half pound was making a difference in how my car rotated. |

Agreed. I've probably put about around 500 miles on my set in the last month and two autox events. I've dropped around 3 seconds in time compared to Sumitomo allseasons, and I have never had an issue with the rear stepping out/spinning out (where with the all seasons I would spin out atleast once per event). They're pretty sticky and they're not AS sticky as the Azenis 615's (pretty close though), but they've got atleast double or triple the tire sizes available. Havent driven them in anything but small drizzles so I cant comment on handling in the rain.
They are a few bucks more expensive than the Azenis, but the tire choices by Hankook outweigh the cost. I think I picked up the set for around $410 shipped through Tirerack. |

Thanks guys, I think this is the tire I want to try on my new 16's when i get them, I had bad report from someone and wanted to see what everyone else thought about them.... Brian you were right they seem to be the tire of choice from price to the type of tire i want. My 2 will never see snow. Only some cold days in fall and spring and some heavy rain everyonce in awhile. I will take it easy in bad weather unless im having fun in a empty parking lot...
Thanks again you guys. Dustin |

Yup. For 205/50/15's, Hankooks are $94 each (Tire rack), where the Azenis are $73 (Vulcan tire). I've tried discount tire, etc, but they'll match online prices when it includes shipping, plus they'll charge tax. I've had much better luck buying online. Edge racing has the Hankooks for $81 (Azenis are the same price as Vulcan tire), but they've been sold out since January. I've called them a few times, and it doesnt look like they're going to have them in stock soon. |
