FS: 1988 Hawk GT for sale
Item Location: Chicago

My Blue 88 Hawk GT (NT650) is for sale. Sadly I've only owned it less than a month (400 miles) only to find out the hawk doesn't fit me like a glove . The bike just rolled past 3900miles on Sunday (8/17/08) after a 100 mile ride to check out my new bike.

Here is what I know from the previous (2nd) owner of the bike.
New fluids all around
cleaned carburetors
EBC brake Pads
New Rear Bridgstone BT-020 160/60/17
New Front Michelin Pilot 110/70/17

The bike came with Woodcraft Clip On bars, but swapped them out for the OEM bars that came with the bike, hoping the bike would fit me better with them. Only problem is that the OEM bars were missing the bar end weights but appear to still have the internal weights. As far as I know the rest of the bike is in its stock form. I will include the clip on bars for those that are interested.

Unfortunately the bike does have it's imperfections from the first owner having tip over accident in his driveway. So there is dent on the tank by the fuel cap (but paint did not chip), but there are a couple of other chips on the tank, the rear plastic has a couple of hairline cracks that were repaired and touched up by the previous (2nd) owner, the speedometer cover took some damage and there are some small scratches on the left turn signals. Other than those things I could not find any damage anywhere else. Lastly, the previous owner did not give me the original tool kit or the original owner’s manual, instead he gave me a manual for an 89 Hawk.

I was told I could easily get $3500 for my bike but I will start my asking price at $2600OBO for forum members. I'm near Chicago.

More pictures can be found here

Video's of the bike being started and charging system being tested can be found here

Hope it's okay posting this bike for sale on a car forum!!!!
