CarPC w/ 7" touch screen
Item Location: Central Coast Cali

I have a Car PC setup. I had this installed in my Acura. It has a 7" touch screen monitor with multiple inputs. VGA, 2 composites and audio. The PC portion is a MITX board in a small form factor case just about perfect for our cars. Has a scaled down windows version installed on an SD card so its not affected by bumps and the what not like a hard drive would be. 1.6 ghz w/ integrated video. I will include a power converter and all the cables/wire that I have to run it.

Pre loaded with Centra Fuse software. Its a front end software for Navigation video and music as well as web browsing and a ton of other stuff..Centrafuse

Also has the voice command options installed so if you install a microphone with it you can basically just talk to your car and tell it to play music or ask it driving directions...

This is not quite a plug and play system..it is intended for the rather geeky in the crowd or someone who knows a bit about computers and the intergration into cars. All in all I have spent about 1k$ on the system but am deciding to go a different route with the MR2 (I think im going to get an HKS camp system.or something similar..)

On my integra I had integrated wireless internet, front and rear view camera GPS navigation, nightvision and could monitor my car remotely from the internet. I was about 3 servos away from being able to drive my car in the dark from the internet... I had already gotten it setup to be able to drive in pitch black with just the IR cameras from the display.

I am looking to get 500$ but willing to take offers or trades for parts. I am also willing to help set it up or help troubleshoot it for you if you live out of state.

Bump for this, I ran a custom CARPC in my oldsmobile until I scrapped the car, and I miss it a -lot-; Will be building a much simpler GPS solution for my 2, but if you're into multimedia and a generally cool setup, and can figure out a good place to stick a screen in your 2 (or any car, really) then these setups are great.

I've never used the centrafuse frontend, but I've only heard great things about it. I never tried it because I think it's not free, and my build was on a $200 price limit, everything but the screen I got for free (I work in I.T.), but the system was about the size of a full tower desktop when I was done, so it wouldnt be any goood for a small car.

+5 points to using a small system. Anyone considering one of these can talk to me with general questions as well, I only give A++ ratings to the idea.

Yeah centra fuse wasnt free. but its top notch..I tried all the free loads the linnux builds and all the other windows based ones. This system if it doesnt sell here will most likely just be installed into my kitchen cabinet and be turned into a recipe/web browser for the kitchen...

so bump with a lower price of OBO..i am going out of country in a few weeks and trying to clean up the house a little for the wife before I go..

ps dont mind the time stamps..i am stoopid with my camera :P
