My E30 Cabbie for Sale
Item Location: NorCal

Originally posted on the E30 boards, but I figured I'd post here too...

Sooo... house/baby are prompting some soul searching, and the result is a potential sale of my beloved E30 that I have painstakingly built up over the past 5 years.

For those unfamiliar with the car, it is this one:

I paid $5k for the car, spent another $15k on it, and around another $10k worth of insurance work from a minor hit in the rear that, together with some hook-ups and additional cash from me, got me a full factory paint job (took the better part of 4 months to strip and paint the car and it looks amazing).

So, dollar for dollar, this is a $30k e30.

However, realizing that there isn't much of a market for $30k e30s, I am open to offers in the $18k neighborhood, which, while admittedly high, isn't entirely crack-pipe high for the caliber of car.

Obviously, it would cost much more than that to replicate than what I am selling it for, and dare I say, would be impossible in many respects (no more Alpina fabric trim available for purchase).

This car has been featured in calendars and web stories, but never in print, so there may still be a magazine feature article to squeeze out of it and I am happy to work with the new owner to help lock one down (I have a lot of automotive journalist friends, many of who know about the car and have followed its progress as I built it).

I would also think that future product/parts sponsorships would not be too difficult to secure with it (having done this with my other car), and this is especially true for those into the show scene (I personally have moved away from that at this point in my life, although I used to be more active in years past).

Anyway, it would make an awesome, flawless daily driver for someone and/or a great weekend show/sunny day car.

Full mods to list to follow, but suffice it to say, it is a tastefully/conservatively modded car with minor bolt-ons - nearly all from from Dinan - on a clean, M42 powered triple black 5 speed '92. It needs nothing, other than an owner willing to give it as much love as I have so far.

I know the economy sucks and all, but any potential serious buyers out there?

CN: Very special cabbie for $18k in NorCal
