turbo exhaust on a N/A

I herd from a few people that putting a turbo exhaust is a cheap way to get your N/A to sound a little better. I bought my car with a header and stock muffler. It sounded like a CR250, so I found a turbo muffler cut it up to make it fit and now I sound like a piped CR250. Any one have any experience with this setup?

That's the same way i bought mine...except it doesn't sound like a CR250, you must have had an odd 250. I kinda like the sound of it, it's got a nice burble, almost V6ish.

fellas, fellas, i was bored with my exhaust, it was quiet wasn't doin too much, so i unbolted it and welded me up a slip on motorcycle exhaust, straight pipe, so at an idle and a little bit more it does sound like a dirtbike, but man when you revv that baby up it is freakin loud and sounds good, i've been heard over 1.5 miles away

its probably and exhaust leak combined with the sound of headers. Every 5sfe mr2 ive heard with headers sounds a lot shittier than the stock exhaust manifold. The 5sfe just sounds raspy with headers on it.

im using a turbo greddy sp on my NA with stock exhaust manifold and it sounds pretty mean. Better than the NA Sp for sure.

Im told to do it right you can buy a little adapter from the header outlet to where the stock turbo B-pipe connects up. Other than that its direct bolt on.

I think Chico sells these exhaust adapters.
