5SFE GOING TURBO!! NEED HELP GUYS!! PLZ!!

Okay so i havent posted much but i have read up ALOT.. and you guys have been a BIG help..
Anyways.. i own a 91 NA Mr2.. it's a CHERRY running 5SFE with 100,000 miles on it..
Right now i have a Custom 2.5" Cold Air Intake, OBX Headers, Bosch plug wires, Custom 2.5" Exhaust with the timing all the way advanced.. it runs like a RAPPED APE.. tire spinning bliss.. tranny is strong too..

Anyways.. i am getting parts togeather to go turbo..
I never planned on Going turbo but i kinda HAPPONED on all the parts.. so i cant turn down the chance..

Right now i have These parts:

DSM Gen 1 SMIC

Custom 2.25" Intercooler Pipeing + BOV Flange

Greddy Type S BOV

Oil Filter Sanwhich (for Oil Lines feed lines,Oil cooler, Oil Temp + Pressure senders)

5SFE Oil Pan (tapped for return lines from turbo and oil cooler)

NGK Spark Plugs (Gapped to 3S-GTE Spec)

92 MR2 Turbo MAP Sensor

Apexi SAFC II

AEM Wideband Air-Fuel Gauge

Autometer Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, and Boost

Apexi Turbo Timer

Turbo XS Manual Boost Controller

7M-GE NA Supra 315cc Injectors

And thats all i have at the moment.. so i was thinking.. all i need as a Manifold, Downpipe, Turbo and i'm good to go right ? so i've been lookin around.. and all of a sudden a turbo just FELL in my lap.. for free no less..
But it's kinda a strange turbo, but i think it might work PERFECT for what i want..
Because i only plan on running 4-6 PSI daily and 8-10psi MAX on the track..

Someone GAVE me a FRESHLY rebuilt BABY CT9 turbo.. this think is SOOO tiny.. it's CUTE! i mean it has a 2" intake and 1.5" charge pipe... it's from a JDM Tercel motor..

I guess what i'm askin is CAN i use this CT9 ?

I wanted to buy a Generic Turbo Manifold + Downpipe off Ebay.. one from TurboXS probably... But i have 2 Questions..

#1 I see the 3sgte Manifold has 8 bolts.. my 5sfe has 6.. the flanges LOOK different but everyone CLAIMS they are the same.. WILL THE EBAY 3S-GTE MANIFOLD BOLT UP TO MY 5SFE?! thats what i wanna know Before i buy one...

#2 i Know the ebay turbo manifolds are ment for ct20 and ct26 turbos.. which are t3/t4 flanges.. and my CT9 is a T25 Flange .. but i HAVE found Adaption Flanges that bolt T3/T4 Turbos up to T25 Manifolds & Vice Versa.. so this SHOULD make it so my CT9 bolts up to the Ebay Manifold right ?
But my BIG question is what about the DOWNPIPE ?
Will the Ebay Downpipe bolt up to my CT9 ? are the CT9 and CT20 turbos the SAME on the downpipe flange design ? if not WHERE can i get a downpipe for a CT9 ?

After i figure this little problem out i'll be GOOD TO GO.. i have a friend who owns a Muffler / Metal Fab Shop and another friend who owns a Dyno/Tune shop.. so i'm hopein between em i can do this right..
i'm HOPEIN to peek out at around 200whp at 10PSI with perfect tunning..

Well if you guys could help me out with this i would be FOREVER greatfull.. ill be reading up every 20 mins waiting for answeres =P.. i mean as soon as i figure this out i can buy the manifold + downpipe like TOMARROW and be turbo by next week.. so you all can see why i am sooo eager to find out what i need to know..

Thanks again!

-Joe

Man you sure post all over the place. I'll just answer this thread and ignore the other ones. The ct-26 is actually too small for a 5sfe but since the computer can't provide enough fuel for a correctly sized turbo it works. So a turbo made for a 1.6 liter is going to be way too small. It will probably spool like mad then drop off early in the power band as the motor can't push any more air past the turbine side. Also I suspect it won't last as long because of surging and the fact that it will spin faster then it was designed to normally go. I don't know that for a fact though but that is my best guess. The rest of your parts list looks good, you will probably want to get a MSD-BTM to retard timing at boost though to be safe. Also the 315cc injectors peak at about 180rwhp at 10psi with a ct-26 on a 5sfe. You probably won't see quite that much power with a smaller turbo.

Yes it will. You may have to temporarily remove some things like one of the engine hoist hooks to get it on there though.

CT-26 and CT-20b turbos use a different flange then a t3/t4. It's a Toyota thing so no other turbos have that same flange. You will probably need a custom adapter or cut the flange off an Ebay manifold and weld on a T25 flange.

You are most likely going to need a custom downpipe. I doubt the flanges are the same but if you post up pictures of the turbo someone could probably tell you. Unless both flanges are exactly the same and the distance and angle between them is the same, the downpipe at the very least will need to be custom fabricated to put the exhaust in the right spot.

i would highly suggest selling that turbo and buying a gt28 or a smaller gt30 and but some bigger injectors on there trust me it will give quick spool time and great power. but be carful choosing your manifold that is whats really important for what kind of seup you want a logstyle can spool a big turbo quick and a top mount can get good power out of a small turbo

And you would try this using the stock 5sfe ECU? The 5sfe fuel system is MAP based and has no way to know when you are using a more efficient turbo like a gt28. You will either use too small of injectors and break ring lands or too large and wash down the cylinders without some way to tune the WOT maps. Custom setups are great but don't think you can just throw parts on there and not have to consider how it effects the tuning at different RPMs.
