brakes on mr2 na

i have a question is changing the back rotors and pads the same as the front?? i did the front but i need to get the back done. just didnt want to be in for any surprises.thanks

The procedure is very slightly different. Can't remember exactly what, probably just how the pads mate with the caliper, but aside from that it's the same deal. That and you have to remove the e-brake cable, but that's pretty easy. Just take out the cotter pin, remove the center pin, then unbolt the entire bracket from the caliper and move it out of the way.

Just be careful when tightening the bleeder valve once you're all done!

To change the pads in the rear you will need a tool to rotate the caliper piston back as far as it will go. Other than that it's very very similar to the fronts.

You don't need to take the e-brake cables off when you loosen the calipers to remove the rotor.

I usually hang the caliper from the spring with a bit of wire coat hanger so it's not putting any stress on the brake line.
