KO sells one for the na, but it's not worth the moeny for the minimal gain it gives you.

What do you have now? Stock dual? The NATKO is a nice exhaust.

it is a nice exhaust, I love the tko on my 91T, but 3-4whp isint worth $650, that's like 1/4 of a 3S swap right there. or springs and struts or alot of other things. But to each their own. Also incase you didn't know you can run any exhaust made for the turbo on your NA with an adapter, IIRC CRW sells them.

You aren't just paying for HP you are paying for a quality part, surely you replace other parts on your car that don't add any power at all? If everyone keeps on putting low quality low cost parts on their cars that is exactly what your car will become.

I agree, I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. Basically I was trying to say that money is better spent on other mods than exhaust.

That's rather subjective. People sure are quick to give advice on how other people should spend their money.

I know what you're saying. I just think people should be a bit more concerned with replacing stock parts with better or new condition parts before going to the other mods. I think that helps keep the value of all MR2s up, not just the current owners.

I know I would much rather buy a well kept OEM example where the owner took good care in replacing worn out parts such as the interior or kept the paint fresh than buy a car where it was abused yet has some suspension upgrades or some nice rims. That is all I am saying.

As far as the exhaust goes if that is what he feels should be replaced then I think the NATKO is the perfect option, high quality nice sound and should raise the value of the car, not bring it down. The other option IMO would be a stock Turbo or a new stock NA, I have no clue what the Turbo muffler goes for though and as you said I think he would need an adapter.

Edit: You can buy the NATKO via MTBuggies here on the board.

Just as long as you know the Megan exhaust points outward on each side, not straight back, I think it also angles up a bit.

the tko is a fine exhaust. it has its purpose. some people want the look of the exhaust, and to some people thats worth 650 bucks.

performance wise.. no its really not worth it. weld a 90 degree bend onto your b-pipe and you got yourself the best na exhaust. get whatever exhaust suits your needs, if your needs are a dual polished canister setup, then by all means..

IMO the megan system is hideous and looks what you would say "Hondaish". People have also been having problems with the tips not being at the same spot on both sides. The NATKO system is awsome, great sound and quality. BUt it's just so damn expensive for the amount of performance you get out of it.

I bought a greddy sp muffler in great shape from a board member for $260ish. Looks and sounds great. If you can find one of these, take advantage. When I installed my SP muffler, my stock muffler was a bit dirty, etc. I decided to clean it up just in case I get ticketed for having the SP on my car. ANyways, I sanded down the muffler, cleaned it up with degreaser, rewashed with hand soap and then painted it with a high temp exhaust silver paint. I sprayed 3 coats I believe. I taped off the tips and pipes leadign to the muffler, and later used several coats of mother's metal polish on them. Since they are stainless steel, they cleaned up nicely and are VERY shiny. I was impressed with the final product.

So what I'm trying to get at is that you can have a nice looking exhaust (depending if your stock muffler doesn't have a lot of dents) for about $10 if your willing to take the time to refinish your oem muffler.

I have a NA aftermarket exhaust on mine this summer and everytime I drove my car people told me that it sounded like an STI

it's for sale now cause I changed mine for stainless from manifold to rear tips
it's a dual exhaust that bolt on you original downpipe (may need a little modification if flange angle is not the same as stock downpipe flange)

let me know
