Either your alternator belt is slipping or the alternator itself is failing. What does it sound like?

Squeaks And Squeals Generally Are Belts. If You Hear The Squeak, Put Some Baby Powder On The Belts And See If The Noise Goes Away. If The Noise Stops, Its The Belts.

Look at the belt to see if it's cracking up. It's possible that for some reason it's jus loose and you need to add a little tension.
