S54 pops out of 5th gear
my car has been starting to pop out of 5th, i just put a used transmission in it a few months ago and i was wondering maybe trying to flush the tranny and use synchromesh might stop or help the problem before resorting to change it again after i completly rebuild my old one.

Check your shift linkage, esp. that little square bushing. If everything looks good it's prob a worn out synchro assy. that isn't able to keep it in gear.

alrite now i feel like an idiot the linkage needs to be adjusted when the car goes into fifth gear the shifter hits the interior piece a little so it cant go in all the way, so i took the shift boot off so it could move a little father and it stopped doing it. what a relief.
