N/A problems

I have 91' N/A the stock 5sfe took a crap on me and I purchased a 3sfe, and it arrived with nothing on it, so I installed most of the parts from my old engine with no real problems, but now it's up and running and it drives wierd. If I accelerate from a stop, WOT it's sluggish, and wont rev past 5 grand, but if I hold it half throtle, it goes like a raped ape and will red line no problem. I've been working on cars for a really long time, this is the first time i've ever dealt with this. I really need some help!!!

amm.. 3sfe and 5sfe are not the same, ECU issues most likely.

First check you timing and look for vacuum leaks.

The 3sfe is a smaller, lower power version of a 5sfe but your problems sound like more then would be caused by that. I test drove a 3sfe MR2 a few years back and it drove like any other economy, underpowered, you're in no big hurry, passenger car. Mr2's with 3sfe's in them make me want to cry.

I forgot to mention that I bored the cylinders to fit bigger wisco pistons, and the head is off my 5sfe and it has been ported and polished, I dont think that the over bore is my problem though, I'm planning a turbo, nitrous and a front mount intercooler

I swapped over the intake, exhast, and mounts, plus all of the sensors and harness, they mate purfectly to their original head.
