Smile Changes in MPG

'93 N/A 5S-FE T-Top

18.4 MPG average

After Change wheel 17"->15" & Techron Fuel System Cleaner.
19.9 MPG

After SeaFoam treatment before change engine oil.
21.3 MPG

I'm always driving in stop'n go cinditions.
I think SeaFoam is very good for MPG.
Next time I will change my fuel filter.

The wheels helped because A. they were heavier and B. Your speedometere was messed up. The seafoam may have helped, but a difference of 1.4 MPG is much more easily attributed to driving style rather than seafoam or engine additives.

I'd suggest getting a new O2 sensor, new wires, new fuel filter, new air filter, new plugs, a new cap, checking your ignition timing, and then go drive normaly. You should be getting around 25 MPG city and 30+ on the highway if your motor is in good condition.

After I got my '93 N/A my mileage went from 22-23 to 28-30+ after plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filters and timing. Your basic tune-up can make a big difference.

If that doesn't help then the O2 sensor is definitely suspect.

Don't forget that your right foot can make a tremendous difference. I was getting 34mpg freeway, 28 mpg city and 12mpg on the race track with my NA.
