my 91na has that problem also, it would be great if someone could
point us in the right direction, i am not too concrened with not
having high beams, i don't use them, the flash works, but i would
like to fix them. when i get a chance i will look into it, but i suspect
the switch, i would need to see if the flash and highs on are powered
differantly, to go past the switch,

if someone knows the p/n and or other models that interchange.
that would help

It's the switch on your steering column. Something inside has probably broken or come unsoldered. You can pull up the wiring diagrams for the switch and follow the BGB instructors for testing functionality (MR2-Tech.com - BGB) or you can get a used switch off of someone and replace it to see if that fixes the issue.

Update for anyone who is looking at this thread.

I installed HIDs, and had to disconnect my battery.

Once it was installed, my high beams came back on when it is in the forward, always on position. Flash works, but it had always worked.

Also, I changed my headlights so that it takes H-4 bulbs instead.

It probably won't work, but maybe try disconnecting your battery for a bit? Otherwise, maybe get some flukey luck like me

you guys need a new highbeam switch which i think is part of the blinker switch. same problem with mine a new switch fixed it.

More Information for AIRTEX 1S1245

there is some dielectric grease in the switch sometimes it gets burned and causes problems. cleaning the switch can help, it fixed mine for a year then it started having problems again so i replaced it
