few quick questions, buying a 93 N/A

alright so im buying a 93na in two weeks and i have 3 quick questions.

The timing belt needs to be replaced and he's including a new timing belt with the car but i have to put it on, ive never done this before but I have friends who have. Can I take off the belt once the timing cover is off without messing with the timing. If the timing needs to be readjusted is this hard to do?

I want to get an intake for it, i found one with a K&N filter on ebay, looks like it's a fairly good piece for only 35 bucks, but the little rubber gromet that the intake hose fits into worries me. Usually the intake hose fits onto a aluminum extention off the the intake pipe, will this gromet seal well or will it pop off easily? if this is a problem is it an easy fix to fabricated a small aluminum tube to weld in place, i have somone who can weld it for me, i would rather just leave it alone if its not a problem though. here is a link to the intake:

Also im looking into headers for the 5sfe and it looks like the only good ones are OBX and SSAC 4-2-1 headers. OBX garentees their stuff for life, but it doesnt come with the gasket leading from the b-pipe to the muffler ive read, but it's also 100 bucks cheaper i think. Which one delivers more power for the money and which one would you reccemend?

Readjusting the timing is nothing compared to replacing the timing belt.

is it really neccessary to remove all the pulleys? cant you just take all the stuff off and reduce tension, slip the old belt off and put the new timing belt on and make sure all timing marks are in place? I mean look at the timing belt to see if certain things need attension, but i dont see a reason to pull all the damn pulleys off. Can someone answer the other two questions above as well?

You have to remove the passenger side engine mount and the crank pulley to get the covers off. So no way around it.

You won't have to redo the ignition timing if you leave the distributor in place but it's not that big a deal and should probably be done anyway. All you need for that is a timing light, jumper wire for the diagnostic port and a 12mm wrench.

The trickiest part is getting the cam timing lined up again. Maybe that is what you were thinking of? That part is outlined in the BGB as was posted by jrs2 and if you follow the steps for tensioning the belt and setting it using the marks on the crank pulley and cam gear, you will be fine. Just crank the engine around once by hand to be sure the marks still line up after you get it tensioned.

ok thanks. just answered my own question about the intake. Which header do you guys recommend the OBX or SSAC headers? I saw some posts about a new 4-2-1 header from SSAC but I went to their site and I fail to see it.

Also the ebrake on the car is stuck, is this hard to fix?

Also I'm going to paint my valve cover while I'm at it. I'mm need a new valve cover gasket and the gasket from the header to the muffler since the obx one doesn't come with it. Any other gaskets I need to order for this whole project?
