New, couple of questions
I just purchaced a N/A 92 MR2 for 100 bucks. It's pretty much a rolling chasis. The previous owner said the water pump went bad and it was all down hill from there. I plan on pulling the motor this weekend.
How hard is it to pull the motor. Does it drop down though the bottom or does it come up? I would love to drop a 3G-STE in it but I don't think I can do that, nor do I know a shop that can do that kind of swap. I live in Southen New Jersey. Is there even a remote chance of getting the same preformance from a 3S-GE to that of a 3S-GTE? I know the compression is higher in GE, so if I ran low compression pistons would I be able to run a turbo on the GE? Also if anyone knows where to get a step-by-step guide on how to pull the motor it would be greatly appreciated. |
