pointing towards the vent, but not in the vent. the filter end should sit about in the corner under the engine lid and side engine lid trim piece.. kinda where the stock airbox is, toyota made a pretty good length with the stock box.
theres a fairly lienient "sweet spot" where a few inches shorter or longer doesnt make a difference but its better than stock, but much shorter or longer past that and you realize a loss. i dynoed a short 2.5 inch intake making more power than an open throttle body with no filter. i didnt dyno a long intake, but you can feel the long intake working worse than stock.

You know... it's been a few days with this intake now and i'm actually not as dissapointed as I was originally. It has grown on me and any noticeable difference I felt has now been forgotten. However, I still think a 2.5" pipe short enough to get within the "Sweet Spot" as Tom described is best.
You know what is still burning my ass... you can get a similar intake on ebay for less than $30 shipped. Oh well, live and learn! |

It's defnitely not better... but, go ahead believing that if that's what you like. This intake might not produce a lot more hp... but, it revs a little faster and it gained a little in the higher rpm range... My butt is positive of that.
![]() But, I'ld remove the stock airbox just to get rid of all that useless and ugly-ass plastic. |

WOW!!! this helped a lot!! i was also looking for a great Inatake, right now i got a dragon installed. I was wondering how would the Secret weapon fit, after reading this, i think ill just replace the dragon filter with a K&N, or just install back the stock air box. hmm.....

I have the secret weapon and it sux! I ran into exactly the same problems. I never thought about using the old 90 degree bend, so maybe I'll try that. So, exactly which integra cold air will work and how much modification is required? It sounds like it fits like a glove.
