Here you go:
http://www.mr2-tech.com/bgb/mechanic...efi_system.htm Check your diagnostic code and see the list on the later pages. Tells you how to read the code, what the code means, and what problem(s) are causing you to throw a code. You can also reset it after you pull the code (pg. FI27). Good luck. |

thanks. according at the BGB i need to use a SST 09843-18020. to me it looks like just a piece of wire that will connect the E1 and TE1 together. can i use just a regular wire instead or is it really important to use that tool.

i got the diagnosis. the code i got is number 25. im hoping its just the connection of my new oxygen sensor. if that doesnt solved it then i will move to the rest of the trouble areas. thanks again.

Double check your connection and then reset the code. Drive it around for a little while, the system will cycle through and if it doesn't throw a code again, you are good to go. If it does, then it'll be one of those other issues under code 25. What symptoms are you getting (i.e. rough idle, low idle, stalling, etc.?)

it does not show any symptoms at all. the only thing i notice is when i first start the engine the rpm is at 1500. (BTW my N/A has intake and headers) this is when the engine is not warm yet, and when the check engine light is NOT on. but yesterday when i start it the rpm is a little bit lower than 1500 and the check engine light is on. other than that everything is good. right now im going to adjust my idle coz when i did reset, it gotten high. my idle used to be at 750 rpm now my idle is 1000rpm (when engine is warm and im already driving the car)

code 25 is saying that im running lean. and it sais that the trouble areas are injectors, fuel pressure lines, oxygen sensor circuit, or oxygen sensor (im not sure if my upper oxygen sensor is bad, but i dont wanna buy a new one right away coz it might not be the problem), water temperature sensor, and ECU

i went at the gas station and to get the car full tanked and bought those gas treatment. since it mentioned injector i was thinking maybe the injectors were dirty maybe that is why running lean. i drove it for a good while and the check engine light did not lit up. i think that works for now. hopefully it wont light up again or else i will check my wiring at the new oxygen sensor, and maybe buy a new water temp sensor and if that still did not work ill be buying a brand new oxygen sensor the upper one which is very expensive i think its about more or less than 100 bucks
