compression and tranny questions

wondering if i do a compression check what the compression should be on my stock 5s also wondering if my 5s tranny will bolt onto a 3sgte mtor or would it be better to get a lsd tranny, and can i use my 5s mounts on a 3s swap any help would be great

Compression (off the top of my head) should be around the 180-190 range but CAN be as low as 160 but if its that low i would consider the engine worn out anyway. Also if there is more then 5-10psi difference between cyls then something is wrong.

5s tranny will bolt to 3s yes they are not as strong but unless your talking over 400hp then i dont see a problem. If you get a 3s tranny then you need to replace the rear tranny mount as they are different.
