Hey, I just bought a non turbo 91 MR2, and Im currently selling my 91 civic dx, but I know virtually nothing about cars, except for stuff Ive picked up researching(virtually no hands-on experiences) and from what ive seen you guys are pretty easy on new people! Id like to learn as much as possible about my car, and im lookin forward to it!

Welcome! Yeah everyone here is pretty easy going and more importantly always willing to help. Check out some of the stickies and there are a lot of good diy guides. Congratulations on your new 2.

So I read that camshafts are the big upgrade you want for a minor build, anyone have any suggestions and a link as to what cams to get?

When I get the money I will. I have a 5sfe pretty much all hooked up. All I need is some cams and a couple other little things to finish up. I'm going for the more mild hard weld for this engine. But I have one in my garage bored w/ custom pistons and such that I'm going to finish soon and get the more aggressive cams for.

There are some threads in the 5SFE/3SGE section that go more in depth about different set-ups and what cams will do for you.

Cool, thanks! I think my car is almost stock other than OBX headers and a "carbon fiber" exhaust, so any other tips would be great!
