It could be the headlights or your rubber seal that stops the water from going in the trunk came loose or is ripped

I thought I heard something about this a long while ago. And they actually got in the trunk with a flashlight while someone sprayed it with a water hose, lol! I guess you really gotta trust your friends!

If you have a 91-93, it's the seals on the wing, I'm having the same problem.

Try some Shin-Estu grease from Honda on the trunk seals. It's silicon based and made to rejuvenate seals, and unlike Vaseline it will not rot your seals, since this is what it's made for. I have a 92 T-Top Turbo. When I bought my car, my trunk got wet in the rain. This stuff helped a TON. By eckoman_pdx, shot with KODAK C310 DIGITAL CAMERA at 2008-09-18 |

As mentioned, it could be wing seal gaskets, the rubber liner that goes around the trunk, or the antenna

When I bought my first deuce the previous owner had taken off the spoiler and simply (crappily) taped the holes left by the spoiler and I never had even the slightest drop of water in my trunk. So I would guess that the wing gaskets would not be the problem but thats just my 2 cents.

bad wing seals are pretty common, The wing is just bolted on, and water collects in the wing causing water to seep through the holes in the fenders. As far as taping your wing seals, It might seal the holes, but the the tape will begin to deteriorate, And will eventually come off.

You're welcome. I'm glad we could be of help!! As I said above, the Shin-Estu grease is great stuff, solved my trunk leak issues. It's a stellar product. Plus, you can use it on any of the seals; your t-top seals, door seals, frunk seals, etc, so it's defiantly a worthwhile pick up.

Having this same problem, took out the padding underneath the trunk liner and it was soaked! Now just letting it all air dry. Second time too! This is a bummer cuz I can fiigure out where the leak is coming from. If it were the antenna then the far right side would have water and it doesnt, only the center. Will try sealing the wing attachment holes and report back in a few months if everything stays dry. Any other suggestions? Please list them.
