Question 1.75 / 2K RPM Idle

Is there a reason for my car doing this? NTB tried to **** me over on a new alternator and they didn't charge me after I called corporate on them. I get my car back today and now my car idles at 1.75 to 2K RPM's. Is there any explanation?

No idea. Normally I would say to check out and make sure there are no intake leaks first off. Then move onto the TB and attached sensors.

But how the alternator would affect that, no idea.

Why the hell are you having an alternator replaced at a shop when its one of the easiest things to do on a car?

Yea, Alternator replacement may look challenging at first glance, but I did mine in 1/2 hour...in and out.

They must have removed, fiddled with, or broke something while working on it. I'd call them and ask how exactly they went about changing the alternator.

at start up mine sometimes idols around 1.5 1.75 during cold weather + heat being on. After engine temp comes up it settles down. May have no correlation to your problem but thats just my 2 cents.
