If you use electrical tape and the temperature in your 2 gets very hot, the tape will slowly slide off.

I just bought my MR2 and I have the same problem too. Does anyone know if that is the only spot that leaks? Or are there others too on the T top? My friend told me to change the whole molding but it costs a couple of hundred to get it.
Thanks for the tip on the leak, Matt ![]() |

So I did the RTV Sealant repair 2 days ago. I live in Oregon (Constant Rain). The sealant worked great. My car leaked horribly before this fix. I put on some latex gloves and basically rubbed sealant on my seals being fairly libera. Its way easier and less messy than you would ever actually think. Then me and my girlfriend just put saran wrap on all of it with about 8 square pieces. Then I put the T top back on without pressing hard on it. Next I put some at the top where the window rolls up covered the top of my window with saran wrap and rolled it up to create a small lip. Let sit 24 hours. Took it all off. Waited a day for rain and haven't had any problems since. Cost about 4 dollars for a tube of Sealant and about 10-15 minutes of time.
